Texas Republicans held 25 of 38 congressional seats (65%) as of August 22, 2025. Unbelievably, unjustly, and unethically, the greedy buggers wanted 5 more congressional seats before the midterm elections in 2026, assigning them 30 of 38 congressional seats (78%).
Keep in mind the majority of Texans, around 60% of the population, are people of color, who typically – not always – but typically, vote for Democrats or Independents.
The crooked gerrymandered map was sent to the desk of Gov. Abbot for his signature. There is little doubt that he will sign it. Actually, no doubt at all that Abbot will sign this into Texas law.
Fortunately, Jasmine Crockett’s district remains democratic… probably because they knew they couldn’t get away with any significant redrawing of the district of a rising star.
