🌿 Benefits of Holy Basil Leaf Tincture

Holy basil (aka Ocimum sanctum or Tulsi) leaf tincture is an herbal remedy with centuries of use in Ayurvedic medicine, that can help support overall well-being, physically and mentally.

Wild and Organic is my favorite brand

7. Supports Respiratory Health

🌿 How to Use Holy Basil Tincture

  • Typical dose: 1 or 2 dropperfulls (about 30–60 drops), 2–3 times daily. *The standard size of a dropper in a 2-oz bottle is approximately 1 mL per full squeeze.
  • How to take it: Under the tongue or mixed into water, tea, or juice. *As with most of my tinctures that are alcohol-free, I drop it in my mouth, then add my ashwagandha tincture, then I take a swig of water, hold for a few seconds, and then swallow.
  • Best time to take: Recommended Morning and early afternoon; avoid right before bed as it can be mildly energizing for some. *Since I take it mostly for my digestive system, I take it at night along with my ashwagandha to help me sleep.

⚠️ Precautions

  • Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Not recommended without professional guidance.
  • Blood sugar medications: May enhance their effects, which means your blood sugar could drop too low, so monitor levels closely.
  • Surgery: Stop use at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery due to potential blood-thinning effects.
