I still find it difficult to accept the fact that nearly 30% of the adult population in the US, have lost faith in science and scientists.
If they believe in a Creator who created everything, then shouldn’t they believe in the creation of science, and our Creator-given ability to learn science? 🤔
Apparently, conservatives are more likely to genuinely believe that the majority of scientists, historians, and journalists are lying to us.
To make matters worse…
Somehow, obviously using a skewed set of logic, they mistakenly came to the conclusion that a reality TV star (strangely adored by people who normally hate Hollywood 🤦), who is also a convicted felon (a jury found him guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records), AND who has taken advantage of Chapter 11 (business) bankruptcy 4 times, AND who was ordered to pay $2 million in damages for misusing charitable funds for his own political and business interests (fraud and misappropriation), is worthy not only of their unwavering loyalty, but also of becoming their single source of truth, not to mention having the honor bestowed upon him as the most important leader of the Free world (a ranking we lost after he took office). 🤔
This is the epitome of misplaced trust.
According to Biblehub, misplaced trust is a common theme throughout the Bible.
Apparently Christians (supposedly those who follow Jesus Christ), as a whole, have a difficult time accepting and applying the teachings of Jesus. 🤦
They stand in the shadow of Jesus (faith without works is dead) instead of following in the footsteps of Jesus (do unto others as you would have them do unto you).

Tips for avoiding misplaced trust
1. Recognize the signs
Be aware of when loyalty and trust are not reciprocated, such as when promises are made but not kept, lies are told to pacify you, or when you are being taken advantage of.
2. Prioritize well-being
Understand that loyalty and trust should not come at the expense of anyone’s health, integrity, or quality of life.
3. Be willing to walk away
Recognize that sometimes the most courageous act is to choose to pivot from a previous belief, philosophy, or situation, that is no longer serving everyone’s best interests.
