๐Ÿ” How to Reframe Affirmations Using Positive Terminology

Here’s my one sentence affirmation:

I allow, accept, and gratefully embrace all energies that enhance my true radiant self.

There you have it.

One sentence that not only affirms your worth, but also attracts the energies that support, encourage, and add positive attributes to your life, for your highest good.

Remember, anything that is for YOUR highest good, is also for the highest good of ALL. ๐Ÿค”

I don’t use terms like “release,” because I identify it as a negative word, which is also why I don’t use the word “negative” in my affirmations.

It seems more logical to be in a state of allowing, accepting, or receiving, instead of releasing, removing, or blocking.

Keep in mind this recommendation is based on my personal experience. If you feel absolutely no negativity from these words, then by all means continue to use them.

Now let’s break it down…ย

When we create affirmations, it’s important to focus on what we DOย want instead of what we donโ€™t want.

Basically, we want to change or replace what’s not working out for our highest good, with positive life affirming thoughts and good energy.

Our minds respond better to positive, present-tense language, so we need to take time to reframe negative or limiting phrases into affirmations that are uplifting and empowering.

โœจ Steps to Reframe Using Positive Terminology:

  1. Identify the Negative or Limiting Thought
Examples: “I donโ€™t want to be anxious anymore.” “I release all negative energy that doesn’t belong to me.” “I will not be angry.”
  2. Remove the Negative Words
Avoid words like donโ€™t, negative, release, canโ€™t, wonโ€™t, not, never, anxious, angry, stressed, etc.
  3. Focus on the Desired Feeling or Outcome
Ask: What would I like to feel or experience instead?
  4. Phrase it in the Present Tense as if itโ€™s already true
Examples Reframed: ๐Ÿ‘‰ “I am calm, centered, and at peace.” “I allow, accept, and gratefully embrace all energies that enhance my true radiant self.”

๐Ÿง  Why It Matters:

The brain doesnโ€™t process negative language very well. For instance, if you say, โ€œIโ€™m not afraid,โ€ your brain still hears the word โ€œafraid.โ€ย  Instead, try saying something positive, as if you were saying it (or teaching it) to a child.

โ€œI am confident and safe,โ€ gives your mind a clear and positive vision for moving forward.
